Ending homelessness is a collaborative effort in Broward County. To end homelessness for everyone, we must link people experiencing homelessness, including people sleeping and living in encampments, with permanent housing opportunities matched with the best services for each individual to ensure that those housing opportunities are stable and successful. It is only through the provision of such opportunities that we can provide lasting solutions for individuals and communities.
Human Services Administrator Homeless Initiative Partnership, Broward County
With local match dollars provided by United Way, the City of
Ft. Lauderdale is providing long-term supportive housing for chronically homeless individuals. This takes the most vulnerable homeless off the streets and provides stable and permanent housing and specialized case management to keep these individuals from sliding back into homelessness.
