Transportation

Transportation

When we work together, we are able to promote our joint efforts to help ensure Broward County's transportation infrastructure is diverse, technologically state of the art and has the capacity to meet the needs of residents, businesses, and visitors now and in the future.

A stronger and more diverse transportation infrastructure can be the key to higher levels of employment, access to work force development and education, but most importantly, access to opportunities.

Goals & Strategies

  • Supporting economic mobility by recruiting, retaining, and creating career paths for individuals to work in the transportation industry.
  • Improving mobility options and accessibility to public transit to create a more equitable and affordable community.
  • Promoting and advocating for transportation-related policy changes.
  • Assigning goals on all eligible transportation projects utilizing locally certified small businesses, which creates training opportunities, jobs, entrepreneurs and new startup businesses, that add value to the overall economy.
  • Using our local dedicated source of revenue to draw down state, federal, local, and private investment in our transportation system.
